Blood sugar

January, normal range 70-110 mg/dL , found 136 (hadn't eaten that morning or the night before)
May, normal range 90-100 mg/dL , found 99 (had eaten some cheese the night before)
Both morning tests

I am 22, is this normal?

It is also possible to have elevated blood sugar if you fast for a longer than usual period.  It is good that your subsequent tests were ok.

Anyway, use this as your motivation to stay healthy.  Minimize sugar and processed foods, exercise.

A regular check of blood sugars every once in a while (and certainly every 6 months) is a good practice so you can monitor yourself over time.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Typically this is a fasting test in which you are supposed to have a certain number of hours before consuming food. Usually, fasting begins at midnight for a test the next day.  Your sugar by the standards of your lab states it was high on your first test. The repeat is normal.  I am not sure if that was a fluke.  I'd probably get it checked in another 6 months to see where you are at.  This article may help you understand how blood sugar can fluctuate and when it is normal. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/diabetes/expert-answers/glucose-levels/faq-20424316
